Pone Chicken Internet Awards

There are some websites that change the face of the internet forever. }-{ello My Future Girlfriend, Time Cube, You're the Man Now Dog; these are just a few examples. The combination of poor web design, total insanity, and perfect timing help these sites to rise from obscurity to internet fame. The greatest of these is Fat Chicks in Party Hats.

Supposedly, Fat Chicks in Party Hats was created by a Mexican teenager named Miguel Roya (and his brother Ernie) on geocities as a hobby. Eventually, internet humorist Seanbaby discovered the site, and began to promote it. Shortly after that, the site moved from geocities to its own domain, and has remained wildly popular and successfull ever since.

The premise is simple. Take pictures found on the internet (many of which depict overweight women in silly hats, as the name suggests), add offensive and nonsensical captions in broken English, and let the hilarity ensue. You won't want to laugh, and you'll feel bad about laughing, but you'll laugh anyway. Thanks to Mr. Roya, the English language now contains gems such as 'sparkle fatty', 'porkrobot', and 'eatattack'.

There is some debate over whether Miguel Roya even exists. Many people claim that Fat Chicks in Party Hats is the work of Seanbaby, and that Miguel and Ernie Roya are his creations as well. Seanbaby denies this. Regardless of who created Fat Chicks in Party Hats, they have apparently given up on it. The site has not been updated in several years, and there's no indication that it will be in the future. It stands as a monument to humor that will not be surpassed for quite some time, and so it receives the Pone Chicken Internet Award. Congratulations!!!
